The SMART team will be working with Lakeside Fish Farm, an aquaculture firm located in Bugesera, Rwanda.
Throughout the course of the project the students will be conducting research to quantify the domestic market for fresh fish and eggs in order to strengthen Lakeside’s business strategy. Through the research process, the goal will be to produce:
- Baseline report which helps explain and understand the current context of the company and to help define benchmarks for the expansion and growth process.
- Marketing strategy based on extensive analysis of both domestic and international markets.
- Communication Strategy to help clarify and promote Lakeside’s mission, vision and approaches.
- Publication of a Case Study building on the synthesis and integration of the baseline, marketing and communication strategies.
